QUETICO PARK

BAR

Quetico is the Candian side of the Boundry Waters Canoe Area. It covers 4,800 square Kilometers of untouched wilderness in Northern Ontario's Pre-cambrian sheild rock forest. No hunting, roads, or development of any kind are allowed. Even motorized boats are banned from the park, so you can travel by canoe through a truly remote wilderness. Since all travel is by canoe, fisherman practice catch and release fishing, only keeping what they need to eat. Quetico supports most of the major freshwater game fish: smallmouth (and plenty of them) lake trout, walleye, northern pike. I was up there in 1988 and 1989 with my 2 Brothers, we had a fantastic time. If you like a little work, a LOT of PEACE and QUIET with GREAT FISHING, and the NORTHERN LIGHTS at Night, try this sometime. So enough already take a look at the pictures below.
